Sometimes in life, a little help goes a long way For twelve-year-old Yesudass Michel Dass, that help unexpectedly came from Dato Kamisah Johan, Group Executive Chairman of Rembawang Holdings. Yesudass has been diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and has been undergoing chemotherapy for the past year. Yesudass’ dad works as a security guard with a very low take home pay and his mum Mina is a housewife. When Dato’ Kamisah learned about their situation, she decided to support the family with a monthly contribution of RM1,500 to cater for Yesudass’ needs and to cover other expenses like the family’s groceries. This has helped to ease the family’s financial burden. This year will be a big year for Yesudass as he will be sitting for his Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) in September. Due to his condition, the school has provided him with books to study and a hospital tutor has been assigned to teach him. Special arrangements have also been made so that he can take his exams either in the hospital or at home. When asked what his dream is, Yesudass said he wants to be a policeman when he grows up.
